1. Delivery Policy

We aim to deliver your order promptly to ensure a smooth experience:

    • Colombo & Suburbs: Delivery within 5–7 business days.
    • Other Areas: Delivery within 7–10 business days.
    • Pre-Order Products: Items that require customization (e.g., hand-painted or pre-order items) will take 10–14 business days for delivery.

The standard delivery charges for local orders are listed below and subject to change without prior notice:

    • Colombo & Suburbs: Rs.300.00.
    • Other Areas: Rs.400.00

Please note that delivery timelines may vary due to unforeseen delays such as weather conditions, courier issues, or other disruptions.

2. Exchange Policy

If you are not satisfied with your purchase, we are happy to offer exchanges under the following conditions:

Is exchanging possible at Costura Works?
Yes, you can exchange eligible products within 5–7 business days of receiving the order, however the request for the exchange must be sent to us within 24 hours of receiving the product. Items must meet the following requirements:

    • Be in their original condition with packaging intact.
    • Tags and labels must remain attached.
    • Accompanied by the original receipt.
    • An exchange can only be processed once per order.
    • Exchange cannot be requested for change of mind.

Can I exchange an online purchase at a physical location?
Currently, Costura Works operates online only. Exchanges must follow the process outlined below.

Can I exchange an already exchanged product?
No, an eligible product can only be exchanged once.

I ordered an incorrect size. Can I exchange it?​
Yes, you can exchange for a different size following the exchange process outlined below. Exchanges are subject to availability.

How will I know if you received my return for exchange?​
Once your return is received and processed, we will send you a confirmation email to your registered email address. If you have not heard from us, contact us via WhatsApp on +94 74 090 9234 or orders@costuraworks.com on weekdays between 9.00 AM – 5:00 PM.

Can I claim ongoing offers or discounts for exchanges?
Offers and discounts apply only to fresh orders placed during the promotional period. Exchanges are not eligible for additional discounts.

3. Non-Exchangeable Items

The following items cannot be exchanged:

    • Products not in original condition (e.g., damaged, dirty, or missing tags/labels).
    • Customized or pre-order items (unless defective).
    • Sale or discounted items.
    • Hand-painted products with custom variations.
    • Gift vouchers.
4. How to Exchange Products

Follow these simple steps to request an exchange:

    1. Contact Us: Send an email to orders@costuraworks.com or WhatsApp us on +94 74 090 9234 to initiate the exchange.
    2. Prepare the Product: Pack the item in its original packaging with tags and labels attached.
    3. Courier the Product: Send the product to our designated address:
      • Costura Works Returns Department

        Please note:
        – Once you have dispatched the returning product, kindly share the courier receipt with us via our WhatsApp number.
        – The courier charges for returning the product will be borne by the customer.
    4. Exchange Confirmation: Once we receive the product, we will perform a quality check. If approved, we will process the exchange.
    5. Exchange Value: If the item passes inspection, you will receive a coupon code equal to the product value, which can be used for your next purchase.

Note: Products not meeting the original condition (e.g., dirt, makeup stains, or damaged packaging) will not be accepted for exchange.

5. Charges for Exchanges

The courier charges for returning the product must be paid by the customer. If the exchange is due to our error (e.g., wrong size or defective product), we will bear the shipping cost.

6. Damaged or Defective Items

We ensure all products meet our quality standards and undergo a thorough inspection prior to shipping. However, if you receive a damaged or defective product:

    • Contact us immediately within 24 hours upon delivery via orders@costuraworks.com or WhatsApp us on +94 74 090 9234.
    • Provide a clear unboxing video as proof to confirm the damage was not caused during opening (e.g., scissors, knives, or tearing).
    • Claims without an unboxing video will not be accepted.
    • Once verified, we will arrange for an exchange or replacement at no additional cost.

Important: Check your products upon delivery. Costura Works will not be responsible for damages reported later.

7. Can I return purchased goods?

We do not accept returns for refunds unless the product is defective or damaged upon delivery.

8. Refund Policy

Refunds are not offered except for cases involving defective or damaged products (verified with an unboxing video). In such cases, we will initiate a refund to your original method of payment within 7–10 business days after inspection and approval.
